Cranial Osteopathy

Also referred, as Cranial Massage by people, it is a more subtle, refined set of techniques that allows us to treat more sensitive case. It still follows the same principle as osteopathy but sometime it is seen as separated from structural osteopathy. Our osteopaths believe that it is only another tool for them to improve quality of life and health.

- In adults it allows us to treat various tensions and problems from muscle sprain, bruising, tension headache, alleviates migraine sufferers, etc.
- In children and newborn during the pregnancy and delivery (natural or mechanical) the body has to cope with loads of forces and it adapts. In an ideal world it should recover and return to normal. Unfortunately many are unable to return to the ideal equilibrium, which leads to congestion, dysfunction and discomfort.

Osteopaths using cranial techniques assist with gentle touch to release these tensions and restore balance. It often looks like nothing is happening/or being done.
Our osteopaths do not remove clothing for the babies/children which make its less stressful for them. The patients often relax and enjoy it but sometime it is feeding time or the wrong day... and they cry. Adults tend to say :“leave me here and wake me up when it’s time to go”.

Our osteopaths often take a picture before and after treatment to show you the subtle change and explain the symptoms and recovery and e-mail these picture to you so you can explain to your partner the changes and compare if further treatment are needed.

These tensions can affect breathing quality, feeding quality, drainage and resistance to infection, balance and quality of movement all over the body.
Our team also work in partnership with orthodontist in order to promote better teeth alignment in children.

When our osteopath assess a patient they first and foremost check that treatment is recommended. If the treatment is not recommended they will referrer you to appropriate treatment and not charge.
